The Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC), through the National Coordination, Monitoring and Information Management Division (NCMIMD), conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) on the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Management Information System (JJMIS) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Subsystem on April 20 to 23 in Quezon City.

With participants from the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committees (RJJWC), the training will prepare them for the upcoming rollout of the system to the local government units (LGUs).

The training focused on the M&E Subsystem. This tool helps monitor compliance with Republic Act (RA) No. 9344, as amended. It tracks how LGUs implement programs such as the Comprehensive Local Juvenile Intervention Program (CLJIP), the establishment of Bahay Pag-Asa (BPA), and the hiring of social workers for children at risk (CAR) and children in conflict with the law (CICL).

The training aims to equip the RJJWC Secretariats to guide and train LGUs, ensuring a smoother and more effective implementation of the system nationwide.

JJMIS is a web-based system used to record, manage, and monitor cases of CAR and CICL. Launched in 2016 under RA No. 9344, as amended, it ensures proper documentation and supports the law’s proper implementation.

It provides reliable and up-to-date data, stores important records and documents, and enables the secure transfer of case information among barangays, police, and local social welfare offices within the same jurisdiction.

Through its various sub-modules, JJMIS empowers duty-bearers with an integrated productivity and information-sharing platform, making monitoring, referrals, reporting, and case management more efficient and responsive. By streamlining these processes, the system strengthens coordination among stakeholders, supports informed and timely decision-making, and improves service delivery for children and their families.
